Bida Color Sorter Maintenance Guide

In industries such as cereals, nuts, ores, and plastics where color sorters are used, color sorters are key equipment for improving product quality. Their stable operation and service life directly affect production efficiency. However, some processing enterprises experience premature equipment aging due to improper maintenance, which not only increases maintenance costs but also affects production schedules. To address this, Anhui Bida Optoelectronic Co., Ltd. has developed a professional maintenance guide for color sorters based on industry experience, helping enterprises maintain equipment scientifically.

Daily Maintenance: Full-Process Protection from Startup to Shutdown

  1. Pre-use maintenance operations: Check whether components such as the color sorter, air compressor, air storage tank, and filter are intact and free of looseness.
  1. Dust removal for ash cleaner: Use an ash-blowing gun to clean dust on the leather (bristle) brush of the ash cleaner once a week; check whether the leather (bristle) brush operates smoothly once a month. If loose, tighten the loose parts. After using for a period of time, if the soft leather (bristles) of the brush lean to one side, remove the brush and reverse it (swap top and bottom) to continue using.
  1. Dust removal for sorting chamber: If there is dust on the inner and outer glass of the sorting chamber (usually the front glass of the sorting chamber), wipe it with a clean soft cloth dipped in alcohol. Meanwhile, check whether the ash cleaner operates normally.
  1. Inspection of slide surface: Check for stains on the surface. It is best to wipe it with alcohol once a month.
  1. Drainage of filter: For the filtering devices in all pneumatic air supply parts of the machine, drain sewage frequently (at least twice per shift) to prevent various impurities from entering the core components of the machine and causing damage, thus avoiding unnecessary losses.
  1. Inspection during operation: During operation, check and monitor signal indicators (including working indicators and alarm indicators) and the action of the spray valve.
  2. Maintenance operations after shutdown: Use an air gun to clean the vibrator (especially the condensed materials in the vibrator hopper), the inside of the machine body, the receiving hopper, and the ash cleaning brush.

Note:

When cleaning the receiving hopper with an air gun, it is strictly forbidden to directly blow the nozzle opening with the air gun. Otherwise, the spray valve will be damaged!

Monthly: Check the filter element of the filter ; Check the cleanliness of the ash cleaning brush.
